National Botanic Gardens

They are wonderful. All native Australian plants. Began developing it after WWII. They have everything from a rain forest progressing from Tasmania species on north, to an area with plants and the environment of the desert outback. Beautiful.

First a little gallery of plants from the fern garden and other whispy plants.

Then there are the eucalyptus trees and a few others. There are 900 species of eucalypts. It’s incredible. From one just inches tall to soaring ones. Shaggy barks to beautifully smooth. I’m drawn most to the smooth barked ones.

Then there was the rest. Flowers, birds, water dragon.

Completely free, this is a great place to visit.
